September Field Trip Update!

From the Top of the Rock Pile . . . . . . . It’s hard for me to write this again: No meeting in September. If Governor Inslee changes things we will surely have a meeting. CANCELED Due to present state mandate regarding the virus our meeting is again canceled for this month. I sure hope we get to see one another soon. In the meantime, take advantage of our monthly field trips. There is also our monthly Tumbler news bulletin which has many interesting articles plus activities for our Young Tumblers.

This is our annual Holiday Potluck Dinner and club auction. Mark your calendars now and plan on attending. The club provides the turkey and ham. Everyone else fill in with whatever you would like to bring. Setup is at 11:30 am and lunch is 12:30 pm. After visiting with one another, sharing a great meal we have an auction. Everyone can pickup great bargains on minerals, rocks, fossils, jewelry, etc

Diamond Dan has generously given us permission to post or distribute Mini Miner’s Monthly, a publication for young rock hounds. It has a lot of good activities for our Young Tumblers. They will not only learned some interesting rock and mineral facts but also activities to keep them busy.

Please remember to renew your membership for 2020 if you have not done so. Even though we currently can not have club meetings we are making every effort to keep our club running smoothly. We are still providing you with our monthly club newsletter. Our field trips are continuing so check out our field trip link for September and October’s next adventures.
