President’s Message – November 2021 (Click For More Information)

From the Top of the Rock Pile . . . .
: Everything is going well with our club.; I am looking forward to putting the year 2021 in the rearview mirror. It feels good to be taking baby steps towards some sense of normalcy.; I am also looking forward to the upcoming club elections and having some new people on the board with new ideas.; If everything goes as planned we will resume our Cascade Gem & Mineral Show in August 2022. Planning is getting underway as it is only 9 ½ months away.; I feel like there is nothing but sunshine on the horizon!; We continue to get new members every month. I want to welcome each of you to our rock club. I apologize if I have missed introducing myself to you. Please feel free to come up and say hello.; Kat Koch, President

President’s Message – June 2025

From the Top of the Rock Pile From the Top of the Rock Pile Our Gem Show is sold out. Everything is moving along with the show. We will be asking for volunteers at the June meeting plus via email. Please plan on helping out at our show. It takes around 50 people to cover all 3 days. I have not been out to see how the building of our indoor shop is coming along at Roger’s home, but I hear from members that it is really coming along. With some good weather, progress should really move along fast. If …

Meeting Announcements

July 10th – MEETING CANCELED

The meeting this month is canceled as they are remodeling the room.

August 16th – Saturday at Lake Wilderness Arboretum Picnic (Maple Valley) and Club Auction

Potluck on the Park. Bring your favorite potluck dish, rolls, drinks, dessert, etc. Enjoy a peaceful day in the park, visiting with friends and getting in some “rock talk.” Set up is at 11:30 am and lunch at noon. Following our lunch, we will hold a club auction. It’s a great time to pick up some great bargains. Our Young Tumblers can also spend their “rock bucks” on something they want.

October 9th – Tom Prang on Archeology & Geology

Many of our members may recognize Tom as a vendor from our gem show and many others. His booth is “A Point in Time.” I have given him free rein to talk about whatever he wants. He is always so interesting to stand at his show booth and listen to him talk. This meeting should be very interesting. Show ‘n Tell: A fossil of any type.
