March 9th Meeting: It’s “Rock Bingo” Night

We will need everyone to bring 3 items: polished rocks, slabs, crystals, clay baby, fossils, cabs or rock related to contribute to our prize pool. Please wrap your donation in anything from gift wrap paper to a brown paper bag.

This will be a great night for the kids. Be sure to bring your kids and their friends, grand kids, scout troops, or anybody else that you think might enjoy playing Bingo. Everyone will go home a winner.

There will be a charge of $1 per player to cover the cost of supplies.

We had so much fun last year at this event. Let’s all do it again.

President’s Message – June 2025

From the Top of the Rock Pile From the Top of the Rock Pile Our Gem Show is sold out. Everything is moving along with the show. We will be asking for volunteers at the June meeting plus via email. Please plan on helping out at our show. It takes around 50 people to cover all 3 days. I have not been out to see how the building of our indoor shop is coming along at Roger’s home, but I hear from members that it is really coming along. July 10th – MEETING CANCELED

The meeting this month is canceled as they are remodeling the room.

August 16th – Saturday at Lake Wilderness Arboretum Picnic (Maple Valley) and Club Auction

Potluck on the Park. Bring your favorite potluck dish, rolls, drinks, dessert, etc. Enjoy a peaceful day in the park, visiting with friends and getting in some “rock talk.” Set up is at 11:30 am and lunch at noon. Following our lunch, we will hold a club auction. It’s a great time to pick up some great bargains. Our Young Tumblers can also spend their “rock bucks” on something they want.

October 9th – Tom Prang on Archeology & Geology

Many of our members may recognize Tom as a vendor from our gem show and many others. His booth is “A Point in Time.” I have given him free rein to talk about whatever he wants. He is always so interesting to stand at his show booth and listen to him talk. This meeting should be very interesting. Show ‘n Tell: A fossil of any type.
