Presidents Message

  • Again, I would like to say thank you to all our members, their families, friends, other club members and etc. that came out to help us at our Cascade Gem & Mineral Show in September. We could not have done it without your help. We have the election of Board Officer’s coming up in December. We will be presenting the slate to vote on at our November meeting.    

Meeting Announcements

  • December Board Meeting – None

    There will be no Board meeting in December. January 7th will be our first meeting of the year with our new Board. See you then.

  • Holiday Potluck Dinner/Meeting/Auction – Sunday, Dec 16th

    Our annual holiday dinner is coming upon us fast! Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Sunday, December 16th. Setup is at 12 noon with dinner at 1 pm.  Club members and their families, and guests are welcome to join us. The Club provides turkey, ham and holiday punch (non-alcoholic). Members are asked to bring a potluck side dish, drinks or dessert to fill-in our table. Also bring your own table service.   • General Meeting – November 8th

    General Meeting – November 8th Meeting Topic: Professor Katy Shaw, Geology Dept., Green River College She will about collecting samples and identifying mineral formations at hydrothermal (smokers) vents in the Endeavor Segment of the Juan de Fuca Ridge. I would like to show our support for Prof. Shaw and her taking the time out of her busy schedule to speak to us. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend! Show ‘n Tell: A rock, mineral, geode, thunder egg or fossil from your collection with an unusual color, shape or pattern.  

  • Congratulations to Our Young Tumblers

    Case Display Winners Congratulations to all our Young Tumblers that entered a case display at our show. This was their first attempt at a display case and they were all very creative in showing off their self collected rocks and minerals. The following Young Tumblers won 1st Place Ribbons in each of their age and display group: Aiden Cerenzie Alex Danneman Isaiah Fu Cora Unger We will be handing our their AFMS Showman Badge at the Oct 11th meeting.
