Annual Potluck Picnic and Auction – Sunday, August 5th

Our picnic will be Sunday, August 5th at our regular location, Lake Wilderness Arboretum.

Bob Wahlberg has reserved this space for us for several years. He has also moved the tables in and out for our use. We owe him a huge thanks for all the years he has done this for our Club!! Thank you!

Our member Charley lives on Lake Wilderness and is on the Arboretum Committee. He has been able to reserve the space for us. Thank you Charlie for arranging this for the Club.

The Club may have to furnish our own tables this year but the gardens will provide the chairs. Among the Board members we should have more than enough tables.

Setup is 11 am and lunch is 12 noon. Bring your favorite main dish, dessert or drink.

Following our lunch the Club will hold an auction of rocks, minerals and fossils. You can really pickup some great bargains as everything goes for a fraction of their value.

So bring food and $$$$ for rocks.

We had a great turnout last year so please plan on joining us. It’s always great to sit and visit with each other, talk rock or whatever is on your mind.

The Lake is a short walk from our picnic site so afterwards the kids can go swimming. There is also a playground for the kids to enjoy over on the Lake.

  • Digging It Welcome to February 2026, the month when our Seahawks brought home a long-overdue second Super Bowl win! 🙂 I’m delighted to be starting my two-year term as the club’s new president. Thank you for electing me to this position, and thank you to Kat Koch for leading our club for the last decade. As we move into February and beyond, I hope to see more of YOU – at meetings, on field trips, in our rock shop, at our show, picnic, and holiday party. To me, the best part of this club – aside from the rocks, of

  • Come one, come all and play ROCK BINGO!
