2023 Vendor Agreement

2023 Vendor Agreement

By purchasing booth space, (from now on known as “Vendor”), you enter into an agreement with Cascade Mineralogical Society (from now on known as “CMS”) for the Cascade Gem & Mineral Show taking place at Green River College, Auburn on September 16 and 17 (from now on known as “Event”). In addition, CMS offers a 10% discount if you purchase a booth by June 30th. All booth spaces are sold by invitation only on a first-come basis.

Vendors are selected according to the needs of the show. We attempt to have a well-rounded show that incorporates all aspects of the rock, mineral, and related areas of the hobby. Vendors in good standing who have participated in our gem show the previous year will receive show invitations first. Next, new vendors are invited to fill show needs, vacant spots, or vendor cancellations due to illness.

SHOW DATES: September 16 & 17, 2023

SHOW HOURS: Saturday 10 am-5 pm and Sunday 10 am-4 pm.

Set up will be Friday 12 pm to 7 pm. Take down will be Sunday 4 pm –7 pm.

Video and Photography Release: The vendor grants CMS irrevocable and unlimited rights and permissions to use photographs and video recordings of the vendor and vendor’s property on CMS social media and other Internet properties, publications, promotional flyers, marketing materials, derivative works, or any other similar purpose without compensation or permission from the vendor. Presidents Message

  • From the Top of the Rock Pile …. by Kat Koch Our February was another good meeting. Almost 40 members attended, most of which displayed what they make or collect. It was interesting to see everyone’s interests. Plus, I always enjoy these types of meetings as we have the opportunity to talk and visit one another. We missed our three Young Tumblers, Mason, Bentley, and Jude. I hope we see you at our April meeting, where we have fluorescent rocks and minerals and anything else we can find that change color under black light. We scheduled this meeting as the

Meeting Announcements

  • General Meeting – Thursday, April 13th This meeting has been planned for April because the Kent, Renton, and Covington School Districts are on spring break, so all our Young Tumblers plan on attending this fun meeting as there is no school the next day. Bring your friends too. Topic: Fluorescent Rocks!! Not all rocks are what they seem. We have all heard about shapeshifters in sci-fi movies. How about very real color shifters? The club will have a collection of fluorescent rocks for everyone to see. It is interesting to see the different colors rocks become under short or long-wave UV lights. We will then examine members’ rocks and see what happens under UV light. Show ‘n Tell: Bring your rocks, and we will see if they change colors too. This is a fun meeting, so gather up your rocks that you suspect might be fluorescent and bring them to the meeting!!
