Welcome!

The Cascade Mineralogical Society is a non-profit educational organization. Our club is a proud member of the Northwest Federation of Mineralogical Societies, the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies, and the Washington State Mineral Council.

We welcome individuals interested in geology, mineralogy, paleontology, gems, and related lapidary arts to join us. The objective of the club is to stimulate interest in the study of the earth sciences, lapidary arts, and related subjects. These goals will be accomplished through educational presentations, personal experience, and demonstrations at club meetings and other public presentations. The club also provides opportunities for field trips, rock collecting, and social gatherings. We are located in Kent, WA. You are welcome to join us as a guest – so check us out! All are welcome and membership is open to everyone.

New for Members Only – New Texting Service
We are all busy and often forget CMS has an upcoming meeting or event. We now have a texting service to remind members of upcoming CMS activities!
To register for this reminder service, send a text to (888) 731-1000. In the body of the text, type the word rocks. Alternately, you may scan the QR code with your smartphone, and select “Send SMS,” it will auto-insert the word rocks – hit send. You should receive a confirmation via text. If you do not receive a confirmation, try to register again or get in touch by visiting the “Contact Us” tab on the site. You can opt out of this service anytime by responding with STOP.

We have good news! Dues for 2022 are only $25 for you and your entire family!
